Since mustard seed oil can raise body temperature and cause hyperaemia, it can be used topically as a compress or rub to ease rheumatic and joint diseases. It can also be useful for colds when added to a warm footbath. It can even be mixed with milk when added to the water to help it dissolve.
It is recommended to use mustard seed oil to flavor salad and make mayonnaise. Its taste is mild, reminiscent of rocket leaves (aragula). It is a common oil used in Indian cuisine.
The Grapoila Mustard Seed Oil has won the one-star award at the Great Taste in 2020 (The Great Taste Award is the most famous food tasting contest in the world based on blind testing).
